What do the warranties include?
The warranty coverage of each product is described under each product.
Warranty Duration
The duration of the warranty depends on the conditions stipulated for each product and is valid from the date of purchase. Products not covered by these warranties will be subject to a standard 90-day warranty, with the conditions set forth in the Warranty Policy.
What will IKEA do to resolve the issue?
IKEA will examine the product to decide if it is covered by the warranty. If covered, IKEA will decide whether to repair the defective product or replace it with the same or similar product. In such cases, IKEA will bear the costs of repairs, parts, labor and travel, provided that it is possible to repair the product without incurring extraordinary expenses. This shall in no event apply if the repair has not been authorized by IKEA. Defective parts removed in the course of repair shall become the property of IKEA. If the product is no longer available for sale at IKEA, IKEA will provide an appropriate replacement product. IKEA will determine what constitutes an appropriate replacement product.

Our sofas undergo rigorous testing to ensure quality and durability standards, as well as to meet the most demanding requirements for domestic use. For this reason, we can offer a 10 and 25-year warranty against defects in materials and workmanship covering the structures and cushions of our sofas.
How long is the warranty valid?
The warranty for sofas, armchairs, and footrests is valid for ten (10) years and twenty-five (25) years from the date of purchase. The original simplified invoice must be presented as proof of purchase.
What does this warranty cover?
This 10-year warranty is applicable only for domestic use and covers defects in materials and workmanship in:
- Structures
- Seat and back cushions:
10-year warranty on the following products:
- All sofas, sofa beds, armchairs, and footrests, excluding natural fiber products, covers, and POÄNG cushions.
25-year warranty on the following products:
- STOCKHOLM sofas.
What does this warranty not cover?
- Fabric covers.
- Leather covers.
- Fixed fabric covers (non-removable).
- Natural fiber armchairs and footrests such as AGEN, ULRIKSGBERG, ALSEDA, BUSKBO, RÅDVIKEN, HOLMSTA, TOLKNING, and GAMLEHULT.
- POÄNG cushions.
- POÄNG children's armchair.
This warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, cuts or scratches, or damage caused by impacts, accidents, or residues. Products that have been improperly stored or installed, if done by an unauthorized service provider or by the customer directly, or not done by IKEA, used improperly or incorrectly, altered, or cleaned with inappropriate methods or products not recommended according to the item’s manual. Damage caused by pests: Damage caused by termites (drywood, dampwood, subterranean, or powderpost termites), wood-boring beetles, ants, mice, insects from the Anobidae family, Lictidae family, Cerambycidae family, wasps, beetles, moths, or plant pests or insects that damage the integrity of the furniture.
We test our sofas and armchairs
At IKEA, we test all our sofas and armchairs to ensure they are durable. We are especially rigorous with those that have many years of warranty. For example, we place 220 lb of weight on the seat 50,000 times, and weights of 66 lb on the backrest the same number of times. We do this to ensure that the structures will maintain their stability and the cushions their elasticity and comfort. The warranties we offer are proof that our sofas and armchairs can withstand frequent use over time and provide security for you as a customer.
Maintenance Instructions
Cushions should be cared for to maintain their comfort. They should be plumped regularly, at least once a month. They should also be rotated so that the cushions that are used the most are swapped with those used less frequently. Tighten the screws on the legs after two weeks of use, and ensure they remain tight by checking them a couple of times a year.
Washable Covers
- Follow the cleaning and maintenance instructions.
- Iron them while still slightly damp.
- Replace the cover while it is still slightly damp, as it stretches more easily and fits quickly into the proper shape. However, it is important that the cover is not too wet when being placed back on the frame.
Leather
- Vacuum regularly with a soft brush attachment.
- Do not place leather furniture directly in sunlight and leave a 12” gap from any heat source to prevent the leather from drying out.
- Never use detergents for cleaning.
- White or light-colored leather furniture is sensitive to strong colors such as red wine or coffee. For this reason, clean them immediately.

Before using it for the first time
Your new mattress may feel a bit firm at first. Allow a month for your body to adjust to the mattress and for the mattress to adjust to your body. Rolled mattresses regain their shape after 3-4 days of use.
All new materials have their own particular smell, which will gradually disappear. Airing and vacuuming the mattress will help eliminate the odor.
For the best comfort, you need the right pillow. Make sure you have a pillow that suits you and your new mattress.
Care and Cleaning
Complement the mattress with a mattress protector or mattress pad. It will make it more hygienic as it is easier to remove and clean. Some mattresses and box springs have a washable cover. Read the label on the inside of the cover for more information. Make sure the zipper is closed when washing the cover. Vacuuming the mattress helps remove dust and dust mites. How long is the warranty?
The warranty lasts from two (2) to five (5) years from the date of purchase of the appliance. The original simplified receipt must be presented as proof of purchase. If any repair service is performed during the warranty period, it will not extend the validity period of the warranty for the appliance or the new components.
What does this warranty cover?
The guarantee covers faults in the appliance caused by manufacturing faults or material faults from the moment the consumer (first consumer/purchaser) has the product in his/her hands as appropriate. This guarantee applies to domestic use. Exceptions are specified under the section “what is not covered by the guarantee”.

What does IKEA do to correct the problem?
These conditions are subject to local guidelines and regulations. Replacement is handled by IKEA. If the service company repairs or replaces the appliance under the warranty terms, the company will install the new or repaired appliance. Repairs will be made if possible. If the appliance is installed in any other furniture, the customer must uninstall it before the service visit.

What is the duration of this warranty?
The warranty for the BROR storage solution is valid from the date of purchase. The purchase invoice must be presented as proof of purchase.
What does this warranty cover?
The warranty covers defects in materials, manufacturing, and functionality of all parts of the BROR storage solution from the date of purchase at IKEA.
Which products are not covered by this warranty?
The following products are not covered by the warranty:• BROR cart.

What does this warranty not cover?
This warranty does not cover BROR storage solution products that have been stored or assembled incorrectly, have been misused or improperly used, have been altered or modified, or have been cleaned with inappropriate cleaning products or methods.
This warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, cuts, scratches, or damage caused by impacts or accidents. This warranty does not apply if the product has been placed outdoors or exposed for prolonged periods to sunlight or a humid environment such as a bathroom. This warranty does not cover consequential or incidental damages.
Maintenance Instructions
Tighten the screws two weeks after using the product and ensure they are well tightened by checking them a couple of times a year. For all surfaces: clean with a damp cloth and mild detergent, then dry with a dry cloth.

What is the duration of this warranty?
The warranty for SKYTTA sliding doors is valid for ten (10) years from the date of purchase. The original purchase invoice must be presented as proof of purchase.
What does this warranty cover?
This 10-year warranty applies only to domestic use and covers defects in materials and manufacturing of the following components of SKYTTA sliding doors:
- Door frames.
- Door panels.
- Rails.
- Side panel.
- Height reducer.
- Brake bar.
- Hardware.
What does this warranty not cover?
This warranty does not cover: floor rails installed on the floor or any marks or damage left on the surface (floor, ceiling, walls, doors, and windows) during the uninstallation or disassembly of doors, rails, or panels. This warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, cuts or scratches, or damage caused by impacts, accidents, or waste. Products that have been stored or installed incorrectly by an unauthorized third party, by the customer, or by anyone other than IKEA, used improperly or incorrectly, altered, or cleaned with inappropriate methods or products not recommended in the item’s use manual are not covered by this warranty.
Damage caused by pests: Damage caused by termites (drywood or subterranean termites), wood-boring beetles (powderpost beetles), ants, mice, insects from the Anobiidae family, Lictidae family, Cerambycidae family, wasps, beetles, borers, or plant pests and insects that damage the integrity of the furniture.
This warranty does not apply if the item has been installed outdoors, in a patio, terrace, or humid environment (bathroom). It also does not apply if the item has been altered in any way during installation that is not described in the assembly or mounting instructions.
Maintenance Instructions
Install the doors following the assembly instructions and secure them by attaching them to the wall and floor. Remember that different wall types will require different types of hardware. If you are unsure, contact a specialist. Regularly clean the rail and wheels of the doors to ensure they open and close smoothly and that the wheels do not get damaged. Clean with a damp cloth and mild cleaner, then dry with a dry cloth.

This means they will work as well as they did on day one, as long as you follow our maintenance instructions and subject them to normal household use (cutting food, washing once a day and regular sharpening).

The warranty for knives is valid for fifteen (15) years from the date of purchase (only applies to purchases made on or after September 1, 2024). The original purchase invoice must be presented as proof of purchase.
What does this warranty cover?
This warranty covers the performance, materials and workmanship of most all IKEA knives. This means that under normal household use and following our maintenance instructions, they will continue to function as they did on the first day, even after 15 years. Normal use means using the product to cut food, washing the knife by hand once a day and sharpening it regularly.
This warranty covers:
- The sharpness of the knife. The knife should be sharp when you buy it and you will be able to keep it sharp so that it will do its job every day. The blade of the knife is made of hardened steel so that it is possible to sharpen the knife like the first day at any time during the warranty period.
- The strength of the handle. The knife handle should not split, break or come loose from the blade, as the knife would be unusable.
- Corrosion on the knife blade.

Maintenance Instructions
Before first use
- Wash, rinse and dry the knife before using it for the first time.
Cleaning
- Knives are best washed by hand. It is unlikely that the knife will be damaged if it is washed in the dishwasher, but the cutting edge may be damaged and the blade may corrode.
- Wash and dry the knife immediately after use. This avoids any risk of spreading bacteria from, for example, raw chicken to fresh vegetables.
- To avoid marks on the blade, dry the knife immediately after washing.
Sharpening
- A sharp knife is much safer, so make sure you sharpen your knives regularly. IKEA knives have a stainless steel blade that is easy to sharpen. We recommend once a week for normal household use.
- Remember that the sharpener must be made of a harder material than the steel of the blades. For this reason, you need to use a sharpener made of ceramic, diamond or whetstone. Never use a sharpener made of stainless steel.
- If a knife is badly dulled due to prolonged use or poor care, you may need to have a professional sharpen the knife blade.

What does this warranty cover?
This warranty covers the performance, materials and workmanship of non-stick coated pots, pans and woks. This means that under normal household use and following our maintenance instructions, they will continue to function as they did on the first day, even after 15 years respectively. Normal use means using the product for cooking and washing it once a day.
This warranty covers:
- Base stability. In other words, that the base remains flat to transmit heat efficiently.
- The workmanship of the product, breaks or cracks in the metal parts, handles, etc.
- For stainless steel pots, pans and woks: dishwasher can be used. It has no adverse effect on their function. For further details, please refer to the care instructions supplied with the product.
- For cast iron and enameled cast iron pots, pans and woks, carbon steel, pots and pans containing wooden parts: this warranty only applies if hand washed. For details, please refer to the care instructions that came with the product.

SPECIFIC SERVICE WARRANTIES
General Conditions
Transportation, assembly, and installation of any IKEA product.
What does this warranty include?
The scope of the warranty for each assembly and kitchen installation service contracted with IKEA.
Warranty Duration
Each warranty lasts for 2 years after the completion of assembly or kitchen installation.
What will IKEA do to resolve the issue?
IKEA will examine the kitchen assembly or installation service to decide if it is covered under warranty. IKEA will decide whether to repair the defective service or not because of product misuse, improper storage or storage, misuse, alteration or modification, or cleaning with improper products or cleaning methods not recommended in the product's owner's manual.
In the event of repair, IKEA will be responsible for the cost of repair, additional parts, labor and travel expenses incurred by IKEA personnel, but not those expenses or taxes incurred by the customer in receiving or claiming under the warranty, which are the customer's responsibility. This does not apply in cases where the repair has not been authorized by IKEA.
Any defective parts removed during repair shall become the property of IKEA if the customer is no longer interested in them. In the event the item is no longer sold by IKEA or the product has been discontinued, IKEA will provide a replacement of equal value or features. For discontinued items you may request specific documentation from Customer Service.
Warranty Conditions
The warranties are valid from the moment the kitchen installation or furniture assembly service is completed. It is required to show the invoice, in physical or digital format, as proof of purchase and identification of the owner. In case of warranty redemption (first time and consecutive) the term of this does not produce renewal, the remaining term will be honored in any case, retroactive to the date indicated on the purchase invoice; if the consumer is deprived of the use of the good due to causes related to its repair, this time shall be computed as an extension of the term of the legal warranty.
In case of resale or third party purchasers, the term of the warranty that accompanies the good does not produce renewal, the remaining term will be honored in any case, retroactive to the date indicated on the purchase invoice of the first consumer or purchaser.
Exceptions
Follow the care instructions carefully. Warranties do not apply to products that have been improperly stored by an unauthorized service provider or by the customer directly or in cases where storage has not been performed by IKEA, improperly used, abused, altered or cleaned with improper methods or products.
Warranties do not cover natural deterioration, moisture, cuts, scratches or scuffs, or damage caused by impact or shock or accident.

General Legal Rights
