"When we designed ODGER chair we were inspired by both ski boots and pie dishes with removable bottoms. The reason was that we wanted to find a way to quickly and easily attach the legs to the seat and backrest. In the end, the solution was a simple click mechanism. Another innovation is that the material is a mix of renewable wood and recycled plastic. The result is a chair with true, clean lines ‒ which is also very comfortable to sit on thanks to the bowl-shaped seat and the rounded backrest."
Complicated path to a simple chair
ODGER is a chair without secrets. When you get up close you see small lines on the chair's smooth surface. The lines come from wood fibers and reflect the material’s mix of renewable wood and recycled plastic. With two handles, we made the assembly so easy that you don’t even need to read the instruction for how to click your chair together. Developing ODGER was anything but easy, but it may very well be the most simple and straightforward chair that we’ve ever made.
